South Korean consumer electronics giant LG launched its dual-screen smartphone – LG G8X ThinQ – in India today. The smartphone that was first presented at IFA 2019 in Berlin earlier this year. The USP of the LG G8X ThinQ smartphone is its design thanks to its dual screen.

The LG G8X ThinQ is available in a single storage variant of 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage and was launched at Rs 49,999. In a statement, LG indicated that the smartphone will be available from tomorrow, c ‘that is to say on December 21, in all points of sale.

The LG G8X offers dual display of 6.4 inch FHD + resolution 2340x1080p OLED screens with 19.5: 9 aspect ratio. This LG dual screen smartphone has a cover screen with the essentials like notifications, date, time, battery life available at a glance. It has a 360 degree Freestop hinge.
There is a fingerprint sensor built into the device.
Powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855 SoC, the LG GX8 ThinQ comes in a single storage variant with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. For those who want more onboard storage, there is microSD card support up to 2TB.
For imaging tasks, the smartphone has a 32MP 136-degree super wide-angle shooter. On the back, there’s a 12MP (f / 1.9 aperture) + 13MP super-wide sensor (f / 2.4 aperture) dual camera setup. The handset boasts of the reflector mode which is supposed to capture images in low light environments.
Running on the out-of-the-box Android 9.0 Pie operating system, the LG G8X ThinQ is backed by a 4000mAh battery with support for Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 technology.
Measuring 159.3 x 75.8 x 8.4mm and weighing 192g, the smartphone offers an IP68 rating, which means it is both water and dust resistant.
