Nokia X20 is HMD’s affordable 5G phone: price, specs, features

Nokia Mobile, or better HMD Global, went crazy yesterday. It launched not one or two but six smartphones at Thursday’s big event. The phone in the spotlight, however, is the Nokia X20. The Nokia X20 is the company’s first affordable 5G phone and while this isn’t big news for you, it is for Nokia loyalists. HMD has so far bypassed discussions about specs and the Android experience should weigh much more than that. But this time, things seem to be changing. HMD realizes the needs of the market and 5G is what will move it forward in the race.

The Nokia X20 is the high-end phone in the lot. HMD calls it a premium phone, but its specs aren’t that premium. However, we still cannot rule out a few positives from the Nokia X20. Outside of 5G, you have three years of promised Android upgrades and that’s something customers should be happy with. There are a few smartphone manufacturers that promise timely updates and Nokia is one of them. Even though the specs of the phone cannot be considered premium, the appearance of the phone certainly can be. And in addition to that, you have several features. Nokia X20 Specifications

Display: The Nokia X20 features a 6.67-inch Full-HD + punch-hole display with flicker-free dimming technology.

Processor: Inside the Nokia X20 is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 octa-core processor that brings 5G connectivity.

RAM and storage: You get 6GB and 8GB RAM variants while for storage you only get 128GB on the Nokia X20. You can also add a microSD card up to 512 GB.

Rear cameras: The Nokia X20 comes with a 64-megapixel autofocus main camera, a 5-megapixel ultra-wide camera, a 2-megapixel depth camera, and a 2-megapixel macro camera. The cameras are controlled by ZEISS optical technology.

Front camera: For selfies, you have a 32-megapixel camera on the Nokia X20.

Drums: Keeping the lights on the X20 is a 4470mAh battery with 18W fast charging.

Operating system: The Nokia X20 runs on Android 11 software. In addition, you get three years of promised Android upgrades on Nokia phones.

The Nokia X20 uses ZEISS optics on its four 64-megapixel cameras, which means you get expert level setting that will help you take good photos. There is a Dual-Sight multi-camera setting that allows you to use two sensors to click on a photo with images from both cameras. You can use ultra-wide sensor and front camera, macro sensor and main sensor, main sensor and front camera, etc. The phone has OZO audio recording for better sound captivity in videos. And the Nokia X20 comes with free and unlimited storage space in Google Photos, so you can store whatever you want.

Nokia X20 price

HMD launched the Nokia X20 for a starting price of 349 euros, which works out to around Rs 31,000. It is available in Midnight Sun and Nordic Blue colors. The sale starts in May in some markets. It is likely that the Nokia X20 will arrive in India.
